The Cumulus series of tables is an attempt to capture something that can be clearly seen but can never be truly touched or felt. A cloud is an elusive form, yet everyone has almost the same exact vision in their mind of what it’s supposed to look like.
Working on the Cumulus tables was like a journey in search of an answer to whether it is possible to create something that resembles an idea much more than just an object.
The cloud table is an innocent, naive form, capturing a child's dream, a reminder that even things as fleeting as clouds can find their place in reality if only we are able to perceive them.
When drafting the design for the Cumulus series, we set out to create a piece of transcendent furniture - something that, like a cloud, slips beyond the boundaries of dimensional design.
The table's base, woven from polished steel rods, mimics raindrops falling on the ground. It provides stable support while balancing between softness and gentleness of a cloud and the looming danger of a storm.
